
Friday, December 18th
1:41pm: The Greene County High School requested assistance from an officer for a student who was possibly impaired at school. The officer recommended the student be taken by a parent to a medical doctor.
1:42pm: Chris Lawrence reported a male hanging out at 1000 West Adams Street, who does not live at the complex. The officers learned the male was visiting a resident, giving him rights to be on the property.
5:50pm: Christina Rickheim reported the Theft of a Bicycle from 901 West State Street. The bike has been missing since 12/11/2020. The officer is investigating.
8:10pm: A Traffic Stop at Central and Grimmell resulted in William Ruzicka of Charles City being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
Saturday, December 19th
12:52am: An officer located an Open Door at 501 West Greenewood Road. The officer secured the building after checking inside.
5:12am: An officer assisted the jailer with a Cell Search in the jail.
12:50pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of South Cedar Street.
2:42pm: Carole Fisher reported problems with the ATM at 116 West State Street. The officer contacted a bank employee, who assisted Fisher.
2:46pm: Officers investigated a Hit & Run Accident in the 400 Block of North Vine Street. A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, owned by Catherine Cruse and being operated by Loni Huntley both of Ogden, struck a parked vehicle and proceeded to the parking lot at 106 West Washington Street. Officers made contact with Huntley as she left the store. The parked vehicle was a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500, owned by Paul Oyres of Jefferson. Each vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in reported damages. The cruse vehicle was towed from the scene. Huntley was cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”
4:02pm: Krystal Davidson reported a bassinet in the ditch in the 600 Block of Hwy. 30 East. The officer removed the object and disposed of it.
5:04pm: Kelsey Reed reported two dogs approached her as she was walking in the street near the Jefferson Little League Complex. The officer made contact with the owner of the animals and issued a Verbal Warning for the issue.
7:06pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a person located on the Casino Floor after signing paperwork to trespass himself from the Casino. Wild Rose Staff advised the male subject was unclear he could not be in the Sports Betting area of the Casino after signing himself from being at the property and requested the officer explain this to him with a Verbal Warning for the Trespass.
10:50pm: During a Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street, the officer learned a female passenger had an Active Arrest Warrant from Marshalltown PD for, “Fail to Appear on Domestic Abuse Charge.” The officer placed Elizabeth Anne Flowe, 61 of Mesquite, TX. in custody for the warrant. The officer also learned that Flowe had a Protective Order in place prohibiting her from being with her adult daughter, who was also a passenger in the vehicle. Flowe was transported to the LEC to be taken to Marshalltown on the arrest warrant. The officer also requested an Arrest Warrant for Flowe for, “Violation of Protective Order – Simple.”
11:12pm: Logan Cigrand requested a Welfare Check on a male in the 500 Block of East Vest Street, who was possibly suicidal. The officers made contact with the male and found him to be fine.
Sunday, December 20th
12:53am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Monroe Streets resulted in Sean Coil of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
5:16am: An officer assisted a homeowner who was locked out of her residence at 107 North Olive Street. A subject was home and called and advised the door was now unlocked.
11:37pm: Tim Watters reported items missing from his unlocked residence at 900 West Harrison Street. A TV and golf clubs were missing from the residence, along with (3) cartons of cigarettes. The officer removed a few items to attempt to gather latent prints from and is investigating the reported Burglary.
4:33pm: Hope Brecht requested a Welfare Check on her friend at 501 East Vest Street. Officers sat with the male for a period and did not feel he was a threat to himself, or others. A friend came to spend the night with the subject.
4:48pm: Hy Vee reported the Theft of Alcohol from 106 West Washington Street. A male entered the business and grabbed a bottle of Whiskey and immediately walked out of the store. The business has provided the officer video of the event and a suspect has been identified. The investigation continues.
5:54pm: Janet Hardman called and reported she backed into a parked vehicle in the 900 Block of West Harrison Street as she backed from her private drive at 910 West Harrison Street. Hardman was backing her 2007 Lexus G47 onto the street and struck the parked vehicle. The 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 was owned by Kenneth Eugene Harman of Lohrville. The Lexus received a reported $1000.00 in damages, while the Ram had a reported $500.00 in damages. Janet Hardman was cited for, “Unsafe Backing Upon a Highway.”
6:12pm: David Nixon reported a dead deer in the roadway on Hwy.4, south of the river bridge. The officer met a subject and issued a Salvage Tag and he took the deer.
11:46am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 220th Street resulted in Saw Joy of Perry being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
