An investigation of a Thanksgiving morning structure fire in Stuart has been completed.
Following a fire at 515 West Front Street in Stuart, the location of M and G Storage, the Stuart Police and Fire departments, along with the State Fire Marshal’s Office have concluded their investigation and labeled the fire as undetermined and unintentional.
According to a press release, the fire that impacted 26 storage units, originated from one of the units that was occupied by two individuals at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire was undetermined, but unintentional in nature. The fire caused damage to 26 units and several personal items inside those units were total losses.
The press release states that no criminal charges are going to be filed. Pending any new information on this incident, the matter is deemed to be closed. The other agencies that responded that evening included Dexter and Menlo fire departments, along with the Guthrie and Adair County Sheriff’s Offices, and Stuart Rescue.
