The Panorama School Board approved a voluntary retirement incentive program as part of its regular meeting Monday.
School employees are eligible for the program if they’ve completed at least ten continuous years of full- or half-time service to the district prior to the effective day of retirement. Employees must also be 55-years old on or before June 30 in the calendar year of retirement.
Full-time employees who enroll in this program receive 60- percent of their contractual salary from their final year of employment on October 20 of the year of retirement and October 20 of the following year. Half-time employees receive a pro-rated stipend determined by the average full-time equivalence of the ten years.
If multiple applicants meet the criteria, the Board may limit eligibility and give priority to applicants who have served the longest. The deadline to apply is February 1.
