The West Central Valley School Board approved four seniors for mid-term graduation in its regular meeting Wednesday night.
The Board reviewed a report from the office of teaching and learning concerning faster identification of students eligible for the Talented and Gifted Program and the assessments that are used to help make that determination.
West Central Valley Schools received a grant from T-Mobile for 74 hotspots that include 100 gigabytes of data per year for five years. These hotspots will be available to virtual learners or quarantined students.
The Board reviewed a buyback program for obsolete technology. The estimated return is $5,000 with shipping costs deducted from the final value.
Three new students joined the district through board approval from the ACGC district, while three students transferred out to West Des Moines Area Schools due to family moves.
The Board reviewed personnel actions, financial reports and approved a modified amount to the at-risk/dropout prevention program.
The next scheduled meeting is January 20.
