Perry High School Wrestling activities have been canceled immediately following multiple COVID-19 cases.
Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger says that multiple cases of COVID-19 within the high school wrestling program sparked conversations about how the school should move forward. He says the decision was made to suspend all wrestling activities until December 28th.
“It’s a sad day at the high school when we have to pull opportunities for our kids. We are hoping that after the new year we can come back fresh and get through this little bubble in the season and continue on to our conference tournament, our district tournament, and state tournament.”
This suspension will affect upcoming practices, as well as pulling out of the meet scheduled for tonight and the one scheduled for this Saturday as well.
