The Panorama School Board held its regular meeting Monday.
The Board reviewed its financial standing, followed by Superintendent Shawn Holloway who gave a report about the district’s performance.
“The real good news for the district is we’re in very solid financial standing for a district our size. We feel good about that. To get to this point the last five or so years is a real positive.”
The Board recognized the Panorama Dance Team for its performance at the state competition, as well as Ruby Hummel for her selection to the Southwest Iowa Honor Band for the sixth consecutive year.
They reviewed the summer project list and put the finishing touches on projects to be done. A voluntary retirement incentive program was then approved for any certified staff member 55 years or older who has been in the district for at least 10 years. The Board unanimously approved continuing 1 p.m. dismissals on Wednesdays for third term.
The 2021 potential graduate list was approved unanimously. The Board also approved the at-risk and dropout prevention amount of $243,967. Finally, Panorama students will continue wearing masks through Christmas break, and the Board will re-evaluate mask procedures at the next scheduled meeting January 11.
