Market beef weigh-in for Adair County 4-H and FFA members is set for Saturday, January 2,at the Adair County Fairgrounds in Greenfield.
All market steers and market heifers must be tagged and weighed to be eligible to exhibit at the 2021 Adair County Fair in July.
Identification of Iowa State Fair market beef will be between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Animals will be weighed and tagged at the fairgrounds, then go to the Adair County Vet Clinic for retinal imaging. FFA members and 4-H’ers that plan to exhibit at the county fair should arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Cost to identify entries is $5, including retinal imaging. Exhibitors will pay $1.50 for county fair tags.
Families should stay in their vehicles until it’s time to weigh their animals to comply with social distancing guidelines. Masks are required if social distancing can not be maintained.
