Greene County’s mental health region is making everyone aware of additional support for those with mental health issues or illnesses.

Central Iowa Community Services Greene County Coordinator Ellen Ritter says those needing mental health services can contact Your Life Iowa Crisis Line and the Mobile Response Team. She points out Your Life Iowa Crisis Line is a statewide resource.

“These folks will talk to you about anything that might be troublesome to you. They’re available 24/7. The Mobile Crisis Response will come out if you feel like you are not safe. But you can also call the Mobile Crisis for someone else, whether that be a juvenile or an adult.”

Ritter has yard signs and some banners available at her office and at the Greene County Engineer’s office inside the Greene County Courthouse in Jefferson. The number for the Your Life Iowa Crisis Line is 855-581-8111.
