For the Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs and Fillies basketball teams, they will be having a quiet week with only one game scheduled for both teams on Friday night when they take on Indianola.

For both teams, they are currently on top of the Little Hawkeye Conference, and have played some very good basketball on the season, with the boys undefeated thus far and the girls off to a 6-1 start.

Both teams have been really able to excel so far on offensive execution, as both teams have been able to find their key scorers, as well as defense, with both teams really starting to clamp down on that end of the court as well, and playing basketball that looks like teams that are in playoff mode in February.

That said, both teams know that this season is a process and must keep their ego low, but both teams have to be happy with their starts so far, and will look to build upon them later in the week.
