While companies still work on the Coronavirus vaccine, the Guthrie County Hospital and Health Department are already discussing plans for distribution to area residents. 

Hospital CEO Patrick Peters talks about planning ahead and being ready for this potential resolution.

“We talked about that it’s looking very good. I know there are two companies that have very high effectiveness rate, around 95-percent. So, we are talking about how we would be distributing that to the folks in Guthrie County. Jotham [Arber, Transfer Station Director at the Guthrie County Department of Public and Environmental Health] and his folks will be helping us lead that event, so stay tuned, but know that Jotham has a plan for the distribution. We will be working hand-in-glove with Jotham and the department to get that vaccine out to the people.”

The FDA has still not approved a Coronavirus vaccine and testing is still ongoing.
