Dallas County residents are encouraged to join a leadership committee within the ISU Extension 4-H program.

Applications may have closed for the Dallas County Extension Youth Committee but they are always looking for enthusiastic members to join. 4-H County Youth Coordinator Allie Wisgerhof says the Dallas County Youth Committee is a group of passionate adult volunteers who oversee how raised money should be spent for improvements and events. Such events include the recent Dallas County Drive-In movie.

“A lot of the people who serve on these committees are past 4-H’ers, 4-H club leaders or 4-H parents and they are able to make decisions that impact the quality of a 4-H’ers experience and the quality of our fairgrounds and the programs and the learning experiences that we can offer.”

Passionate people are always encouraged to apply with the possibility of joining the committee.
