U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne

As 2020 comes to a close and the nation braces itself for 2021, U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne is hopeful that new leadership will bring more success on key issues. Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative is looking to resolve issues that she says have been major problems for the country.

“We’ve got really important things to take care of, prescription drug pricing, surprise medical billing; things like this have gone unresolved because the wings of our government have not been able to resolve their differences.,”

With President-Elect Joe Biden as a Democrat, Axne’s hopeful that the 78-year old can use his experience to calm conflicts in Congress.

“I think he’ll be an important change of pace here. He’s worked with many folks who are still in the Senate. He has relationships. They trust him. I’m hoping he can help us with some of that collaboration. He knows how to get it done; he knows to compromise, and he understands that’s how you win for the American people.”

Axne and her fellow House members will begin the 117th Congress on January. 3 for the counting of electoral votes.
