The coronavirus pandemic has brought with it various restrictions to how businesses and people can go about their lives but one Dallas County library continues to push through and provide services.

The Perry Public Library continues to come up with creative ways to engage the public even when patrons can’t conduct their library business like they used to. One way, in particular, Library Director Mary Murphy says the library engages is through contactless pickup of library materials and other services.

“I am proud to say that we have had continuous service we have never said we are closed, closed. We do prints, we do copies, we do notary services and checkout of library materials all from peoples trunks or their backseats if they have like a truck or their passenger seat.”

The library continues to plan contactless events and pickup of library materials as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
