It’s December and that means it’s time for the Panorama FFA chapter’s annual “Meals for the Homefront” drive. President Claire Woodworth explains the process:
“So we work with the foods’ group through our school and they make us a list for 8 to 10 families for two to three meals a day over winter break, which is about 12 days long. They make us a healthy grocery list, and we take it to the store and pick up all the food, take it back to the school, package it all and make sure we have everything in the bags for all these different families. We take it to the police officers, and they take it to the families we’ve chosen to give it out to, so they can have food over Christmas break.”
The funds for this program came from previous chapter fundraisers throughout the year. For more information on Panorama FFA, listen to Wednesday’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program on-air and online at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
