Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball has been tough through five games, as they have won four straight games following a season opening loss. DCG was able to pick up another win last Saturday against Boone, moving to 4-1 on the season and showing that they are going to be a tough team for others to play all season long.
The Fillies have been led by senior Julia Reis and her 10.8 points per game this season, and sophomore post player Emma Miner and her 10.2 points per game this season. The Fillies as a team have been able to put up 56 points per game, including putting up 57 or more in their last four contests. Dallas Center – Grimes has been able to score in a wide variety of ways, but their ability to move the basketball has been extremely key to being successful, with the Fillies having 67 assists on 106 made field goals, and have often looked for the extra pass to get a great look.
The Fillies will have their next game on Friday, when they take on Grinnell at DCG High School, as they look to extend their winning streak to five games.
