The Perry Public Library is partnering with Hispanics United for Perry (HUP) to sponsor the annual Las Posadas celebration this year. 

Las Posadas is a religious festival celebrated in Mexico and some parts of the U.S. and commemorates the journey Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem. 

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. December 17th, HUP will present a Facebook Live event from its page. This event is free and family-friendly inviting everyone to join in the Christmas tradition. The event is observing social distancing guidelines by being online. 

The library will provide treat bags for children containing a craft, a book and a sweet treat that will be picked up curbside at the library during open hours from December 14-19.
