The City of Jefferson recently received funding to support the walking path at Daubendiek Park.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Denny Hammen tells Raccoon Valley Radio they received a $20,000 grant from William Daubendiek through the Fidelity Charitable Donor-Advised Fund. The funding was recommended by the Jefferson Telephone Company General Fund. Hammen says William’s father, also William, donated trees to the park and it is who the City park is named after.
