The Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs wrestling program was able to get started out on a good note on Thursday night, but unfortunately feel short in the opener against Norwalk falling 63-9, and to Ballard 43-22.

The host Norwalk were able to get some big performances throughout the night, as DCG competed hard in their first meet but Norwalk was just too much. Ballard and DCG had some good battles on the round, including Luke Stover, Ryan Micklesen, and Logan Gard plus more who were able to pick up wins in that match.

Most of the wrestlers were able to execute their game plan, which helped the success of some of the  Mustangs on the night, but unfortunately their valiant efforts weren’t enough.

The Mustangs will have a big meet happening tomorrow, when they host a tournament at Dallas Center – Grimes high school, with multiple teams participating. That meet will get rolling at 10:00 a.m.
