The Panora and Lake Panorama Economic Development group otherwise known as PRIDE, has recently announced two donations they’ve received to assist with a land purchase.

Iowa Trust and Savings Bank and Guthrie County State Bank each gave $25,000 to PRIDE for their redevelopment of 1.1 acres of commercial property along Highway 4 in Panora. PRIDE President Curt Thornberry says they plan to combine the parcels on Highway 4 to make them available for commercial development. Panora Telco assisted PRIDE on the project with a $10,000 donation in 2016. This will be the first commercial multi-tenant retail project to be built outside the downtown business district in Panora since the Panora Plaza was constructed by Irv Gerlich in 1986.
