A popular agriculture program in Greene County has been delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Greene County ISU Extension Director Lori Mannel says the December 4th private pesticide applicator training has been rescheduled to February 25, 2021. The change is due to the governor’s COVID-19 mandates in the public health proclamation. There will be two sessions held at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson from 9:30-11:30am and 1:30-3:30pm. Another private pesticide applicator training will take place March 10, 2021 from 6:30-8:30pm at Clover Hall.

The cost for the training is $20 and will be led by ISU Extension and Outreach Agronomist Mike Witt. Due to COVID-19 concerns, pre-registration is required. Call the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson at 515-386-2138 or stop by to sign up.
