The Greene County Medical Center is encouraging everyone to be mindful of today’s Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday follows Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, as a way to highlight people who make holiday and end-of-the-year donations. The medical center has provided over $25.1 million for patient and resident healthcare services, regardless if someone can pay for the services or not. Greene County Medical Center also generated over $25 million to the local economy and hospital employees spent just under $3 million on local retail sales, and contributed nearly $176,000 in state sales tax revenues last year.

The facility is a rural, critical-access hospital that is also a non-profit entity in Greene County. They are asking everyone to help support them to continue to provide healthcare services in Greene County by donating to the Greene County Medical Center Foundation.
