The 27th annual holiday lighted display is open at Mitchell Park in Guthrie Center, with a new display highlighting some well-known spots of the community.

Betty and her son Raymond Simmons have continued their decades-long participation in the lighted park with their specialty of wooden mechanical displays. Their installation is on the east side of the park featuring a miniature display of Guthrie Center, including several local businesses, the Guthrie County Regional Airport, and the water tower. Several area organizations and businesses take part in the lighted drive-through park which is free for the public to tour through the end of December. Free-will donations to keep the volunteer-led attraction shining bright can be left at the drop box at the park, or at Guthrie County State Bank and Peoples Bank in Guthrie Center.
