The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight in regular session.
The Council will hold a public hearing and will then consider approving the plans, specifications, and form a contract for the Greene County Animal Shelter project. Following that, the Council will consider awarding the contract. Additionally, the Council will consider approving the second reading of an ordinance for commercial cardboard collection fees, along with a change order and pay estimate for a project at 100 East State Street.
The Council will also consider approving an intended use plan application with a wastewater facility plan to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, a roof replacement proposal for City Hall, due to the derecho storm damage. They will consider approving acquisition of property at 703 North Wilson Avenue, final pay estimates for the Arch Alley Improvement and Chestnut and Adams streets water main projects, along with a resolution to authorize a loan to the tax increment revenue fund. Finally, the Council will hear a quarterly report from Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community.
The meeting will begin at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers. Due to the recent COVID requirements from Governor Kim Reynolds, the meeting will be available via Zoom. More information can be found below.
