The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved a change order for the law enforcement center project at their most recent meeting.

The change order came from Camblin Mechanical for plumbing to install a check valve. Supervisor Mike Dickson said he was disappointed not at the contractor but at the project architect for not previously discovering there wasn’t a check valve already installed on the property. Dickson said that he learned from the project manager The Samuels Group that they shouldn’t be surprised at architects having 1-2% of change orders on a project. Dickson said that is was the project’s contingency funds are for, and it’s not until the project uses over 3% of the project’s funds in change orders that they should be concerned.
