Wednesday, November 18th

12:38am: Michelle Cook advised someone was attempting to break into her residence at 206 North Oak Street. The officer did not locate anyone in the area and found no evidence of an attempted break in.

12:55am: An officer located a vehicle parked near the Early Learning Center. He made contact with a male, who was there working on refrigeration equipment.

5:11am: Several callers advised of Fireworks going off near the Greene County Middle School. The officer located used fireworks at Russell and Locust Streets, but no one was located in the area.

6:14pm: Mike Carey advised of a fuel can in the roadway in the 600 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. The officer did not locate the item.

7:42pm: Danielle Eastman advised of a neighbor burning in the 200 Block of East Perry Street. No one was attending the fire. The officer found no one to be home, but the fire was nearly burnt out.

8:50pm: A Traffic Stop at State and Vine Streets resulted in Sara Schumacher of Dubuque being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

11:17pm: An officer located an Open Door at 206 North Grimmell Road.

11:52pm: While speaking to occupants of a vehicle parked at 606 Hwy. 30 East, the officer smelled the strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver admitted to possessing marijuana in the vehicle. During a Probable Cause Search, the officer also located a glass smoking device. The items were seized for testing. Charges are pending lab results.
