A Bayard woman was recently given a deferred judgment for a felony drug incident.
Court records show 45-year-old Sherri L. Lyons pleaded guilty to an amended charge of gathering where controlled substances are used, a class D felony, and keeping a premises for controlled substance violations, an aggravated misdemeanor. Lyons was placed on two years probation for each count to run concurrently. She must pay $1,375 in civil penalties in addition to court costs. Lyons was originally charged with possession of five grams or less of methamphetamine, a class C felony, for a July 14, 2019 incident. She was arrested amid a series of search warrants executed by the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, as meth and drug paraphernalia were found in her home, of which she admitted knowledge.
