The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District created a new way to keep the community up to date on COVID-19 cases within the District.
Earlier this week, the District created a COVID-19 data dashboard that shows how many students and staff members have tested positive, active quarantines, and how many students are enrolled in remote learning. Superintendent Greg Dufoe says that transparency is critical at this time, “What we’re learning is to continue to focus on the positive things that are happening and the positive impact that we’re having with our students. That’s why our schools exist. We have over 2,000 students come to school every day; that’s the reason we’re here. It’s worth it when we know how important it is to have our students here on-site learning. If we focus on that, we’ll be able to get through the difficult times.”
As of Wednesday, 86 students and 8 staff members are quarantined, which equates to 4% of all students and 2.4% of staff members. You can find a link to this new dashboard here.
