Tuesday, November 17th

7:08am: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central Ave. resulted in Rebecca Kersey of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:25am: Mary Zollars reported a Parking Issue in the 400 Block of East Adams Street. The officer is working to locate the owner of the vehicle and correct the issue, or issue citation.

7:26am: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Gary Betts of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:48am: An officer located a Stray Dog running near Adams and Grimmell Streets. The officer attempted to catch the animal, but was unsuccessful.

10:25am: A Traffic Stop at 237th & Kirkwood resulted in Quinten Schroeder of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:17am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 250th Street resulted in Jeffrey Conner of Panora being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:14pm: Jennifer Schiltz reported two dogs running loose in the 600 Block of West Adams Street. The officer made contact with the animal’s owner by phone. He was currently out of town and the dogs escaped from their fenced area. The officer was able to pen the animals back up and issued a Verbal Warning for the animals.

2:42pm: Casey’s reported a possible Theft at 508 North Elm Street. A male subject had brought $7.90 worth of goods to the register. His PIN Number would not accept on the card machine. The male gathered up the items and left the store. Officers made contact with the subject, and advised him to go and pay the debt. He advised he would do so.

3:53pm: HyVee reported a vehicle parked in the lot at 106 West Washington Street was leaking fuel on the ground. The officer arrived and made contact with the vehicle’s owner and it was removed from the lot. Jefferson Fire responded and cleaned up the spill.

6:09pm: An officer assisted a motorist, who had run out of fuel, at Madison and Grimmell Road.

7:22pm: Krystal Davidson reported subjects in her yard at 507 West State Street with flashlights. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.

8:10pm: Pamela Mallory spoke to an officer about a posting on a deceased family members Face Book Account.

8:38pm: Naomi Long reported a Stray Dog at Westwood and Grimmell Road. The owner arrived at the same time as the officer and took possession of his animal.

11:55pm: A caller advised of fireworks being set off in the 400 Block of East Washington Street. The officer did not locate the source of the fireworks.
