There are a number of pesticide applicator re-shows and trainings coming up with Greene County ISU Extension.

Extension Director Lori Mannel says there are two commercial pesticide applicator re-shows happening on Friday. The first one is an ornamental and turfgrass course starting at 9am and the second class is for aerial applicators at 1:30pm. Both continuing instructional courses will be held at the Greene County Extension office and the cost for either class is $45.

Mannel notes that on Friday, December 4th will be the popular private pesticide applicator training. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, there will be two sessions held at Cloverhall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. The first one is from 9:30-11:30am and the second will be from 1:30-3:30pm. Mannel talks about some of the changes due to COVID-19.

“You absolutely must register. So we need to limit the size, make sure that everyone is socially distancing and kept safe, and we do require that you wear a mask as well.”

The cost for either private pesticide class is $20 per person. Call the Extension office at 515-386-2138 or stop by to sign up.
