Guthrie County Conservation is wrapping up their improvement project at Lenon Mill Park.

The department closed the park near the end of September to undergo the improvements which Conservation Director Brad Halterman mentions a few, “We’re putting in four new electric camping pads that’ll have 50 amp service for campers down there. We put in all new electric lines for those new pads, putting in a new security light down on the south end of the park. Along with those camping pads and new electric lines a new transformer was added to upgrade all the electric we had done.”

The upgrades also included a new lighted information kiosk and registration area, regraded drainage, new horseshoe pits, and new electric lines, a breaker box, switches and LED lights for the shelter house. Halterman hopes park goers will enjoy the new features during the next camping season.
