The third and final day of the Iowa High School Football Semifinal Playoffs are today and tonight inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Greene County went 7-3 this season and two of the losses were to teams playing today. Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams lost to Class 1A semifinalist South Central Calhoun (Lake City) in week two of the regular season, and fell to 2A semifinalist PCM (Monroe) on Oct. 30 in the round of 16 of the playoffs.
Class 1A starts the day with SCC and another traditional power, Van Meter, squaring off at 9 a.m. The other 1A semi has 2019 2A State Champion OABCIG (Ida Grove) meeting Sigourney-Keota at 12:30 p.m.
The first 2A semifinal is set for 4 p.m. with Central Lyon/George-Little Rock meeting Camanche, and Waukon and PCM wrapping things up in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
The championship games inside the UNI-Dome are Thursday, Nov. 19 and Friday, Nov. 20.
