Just in time for pre-holiday shopping, shops in downtown Perry will participate in a Sip and Shop event tomorrow.
Local businesses are open past regular hours to provide an opportunity to come out during the evening hours and shop. Several merchants will also be offering complimentary beverages for participants. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio this is an excellent opportunity to get a head start on shopping for the holidays, “I think holiday shopping is going to look different this year anyway. A lot of the big box stores are changing their tactics. So we’re going to be seeing a lot more of a push too throughout the holiday season instead of just some of those key dates. The important part is to always look local first and see how you can support your local businesses first, come up with a unique gift idea, even gift cards. There’s a lot of good opportunities here locally with our shops; we have a lot going on.
Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged. The event will take place from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Perry. You can learn more about the event during Friday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Pasutti.
