The Boone County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation of the death of a Greene County man.

According to a release on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Boone County Sheriff’s Detectives, Boone County Search and Rescue, and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation responded to a call from a Boone County farmer at 9:30am on September 27th after the farmer found a deceased male in his field. 

Following an analysis of the human remains, the identity of the deceased is 52-year-old Arthur H. Chambers of Boone and Grand Junction. The circumstances of his death remain under investigation. The DCI and the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
