The Dallas Center – Grimes volleyball team was able to conclude their season earlier this week following their loss in Cedar Rapids in state volleyball, but their successful season was in large part due to the skill and effort of their five seniors.
The Fillies were able to get some great production out of their five seniors, whose names include Isabelle Wood, Sydney Anderson, Grace Mikota, Haylee Hidlebaugh, and Lexi Protzman. Mikota was one of the best offensive players on the team this season, leading the team in kills with 309. She also lead the team in aces as well with 26. Protzman was very good with 145 kills, and also was a disrupter defensively with 21 blocks. Hidlebaugh lead the team in blocks with 32, and was an excellent player on the front line. Both Wood and Anderson were key defenders.
The Fillies were great this year in their state run and will have to replace these great players as they get prepared for next year.
