West Central Valley cross country runner Taitlin Koch was able to compete up in Fort Dodge for the state race last Saturday morning and was happy with her results. Koch talked about her race overall and how satisfied she was with it.
“It was kind hard but it felt pretty good to have those hills and have those downhills speed up and pass all of those people and finally finish. I felt pretty good overall.”
Koch was able to put together a nice race overall, and seemed genuinely pleased with the time considering her first state race but also looked for improvement as well.
” My time was 22 (minutes) 09 (seconds) and I felt pretty good about that. It’s not been my best but for state it’s been my best.”
She also was able to have her family available as well and enjoyed her great support during the race.
” Yeah they were a mess, they were yelling at me and telling me to go, and I gave in.”
She was able to have a great season and look for more accomplishments for this talented runner in the next few seasons.
