Paton-Churdan ended the 2020 high school volleyball season with a 10-10 record, the best in recent seasons at the school. Tressa Rasmussen was in her first season as head coach, and five seniors led the way.
Activities Director Pat Kruse talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the season. “It was an enjoyable season. Tressa was in her first season as head coach and Michaela Sparrer helped out, so it was a transition period, but we had a nice senior class, and that helps. The first round of the playoffs was entertaining. St. Edmond (Ft. Dodge) had us down two games to zero and won that one, so all-in-all, making it through the season and getting through the Covid was quite a hurdle to get over.”
The Rockets did not play every date on their schedule due to Covid-19 concerns.
