Like many events since March, the annual Perry Veterans Day program is making adjustments amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the first time since 1988, there will be no formal in-person program to prioritize the community’s veterans and attendees’ safety. The Perry School Foundation has come up with a few other ways to honor those who have served. The Perry Community School District is purchasing yard signs in honor of local veterans, TC&B Wearables in Perry is donating free veteran hats, there will be a Band of Brothers and Sisters video available online, and KDLS will be airing special public service announcements from community members, students, and veterans themselves.
