Greene County residents that still want to vote early can do so today.
The Greene County Courthouse is open from 7am-3pm in the east room for early voting. Voters must remember to bring either their driver’s license or voter identification card. Greene County Deputy Auditor Billie Hoskins says those who may still have an absentee ballot at home, you still have time to mail those in.
“Your absentee ballot needs to be postmarked by November 2nd in order for it to count. If you wait and mail it November 2nd, it needs to be to us by that following Monday, which is November 9th, in order for your vote to count.”
Hoskins says as of Thursday morning, there were 2,784 requests for an absentee ballot, 2,568 that have been returned. She adds, there have been a total of 894 people that voted in-person. The final day to vote early is Monday from 8am-5pm at the courthouse.
