The Bagley Fire Department and other community members brought trick-or-treating to children’s front yards Friday evening.
Instead of a traditional beggars night, the fire department led a parade through town along with community members, local businesses, and the Jamaica Fire Department to toss candy and other treats to area kids who wore costumes and stood in their front yards. Bagley Fire Chief Jeremy Cooper says the department sponsored this event in order to do something fun for the community while keeping the health of older and higher risk residents in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic. The department handed out goodie bags to over 55 children, and Cooper was impressed by the number of citizens who dressed up and joined the parade. Cooper says most of the treats were paid for by generous Bagley citizens, and he thanks everyone involved for making it a successful event.
