Stuart residents have a few days left to review the draft of the City’s new comprehensive plan.
Region XII Council of Governments has posted the draft online for the public to view and give feedback before the City Council considers approving it during their November meeting. Region XII Regional Planner Freddy Vasquez has worked with the Council for about a year to develop the plan, which included a public input survey that was open for several months earlier this year. Vasquez encourages residents to give the final once over, “The public should address this plan because it is ultimately their plan. The goals and objectives and the implementation plan will kind of be used for the next 15-20 years so if I were a community member of Stuart, I’d want at least my say of where I specifically want the community to go.”
The plan will influence the City’s growth and development over the next couple decades, and you can find a link to the draft here.
