West Central Valley Wildcats freshman runner Taitlin Koch is the only participant for the state race in Fort Dodge this upcoming week. She was able to advance to state after her strong performance in the district race in Panora, finishing 13th in the race with a time of 22 minutes and five seconds.

It was a great effort from the freshman, as she has continued to put together better and better times as her season as gone along.

Even though this is an experience that the freshman runner will clearly want to enjoy the experience, but that doesn’t mean that she won’t be determined to put up a good time. During these next few days, she will be focused on making sure that she is relaxed, comfortable in the run, and making sure that she’ll be prepared to bring her A game come Saturday.

She will be competing in the first race of the day on Saturday for class 2A, with the race time to begin at 10:30.
