The AC/GC volleyball season concluded Monday night, but they didn’t go down without a fight.
The Chargers made the trip to take on fifth-ranked East Sac County. No team to this point had beaten the Raiders, nor has anyone stretched them past four sets all season long. The Chargers came out firing on all cylinders and stole set one 25-15. AC/GC kept their foot on the gas pedal and won set two 25-22. With their backs against the wall, East Sac County bounced in the third winning 25-14. From there the Raiders found their footing and completed the comeback with a 25-17 win in set four and a 15-10 win in set five to advance to the regional finals.
The Chargers conclude their season with a 17-6 record.
