Both AC/GC cross country teams dominated in their qualifying meets Friday to advance to the Class 1A State Championship Race.

On the boys side, AC/GC took first place with four runners finishing in the top-11 individually. Trevin Suhr finished first runner-up in 17:35. The next three Chargers to finish were Kaden Thompson in 7th, Andrew Mahaffey in 9th, and Justin Reinhart in 11th.

The girls team also took home a first-place trophy finishing 47 points ahead of the second-place team. Rylee Sloss finished second-place overall in 20:33. Jorja Hoover also cracked the top-10 with a 9th place finish, followed by Hayden Coffman and EmmaKay McClain in 13th and 14th respectively.

The Chargers will be racing in Fort Dodge Saturday.
