Wednesday, October 21st
3:52am: Kristen Russell advised of screaming and banging occurring in the residence at 505 North Grimmell Road. The officer made contact with a female at the residence, who advised the male party had left a few moments prior. The officer later spoke to the male, who advised he was staying away from the residence for the remainder of the evening.
8:28am: An officer assisted Middle School Staff with an unruly child at 101 Ram Drive.
9:58am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 200 Block of South Cedar Street for, “Parking Between Lot Line and Curb Line.”
2:59pm: Brenda Malone reported hearing what she believed to be gun shots in the area of the 700 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer did not locate anything unusual in the area.
3:35pm: An officer investigated a Two vehicle property Damage Accident at South Elm and West Russell Streets. A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, owned and operated by Richard Finch of Jefferson, was northbound in the inside lane of Elm Street. A 2002 Chevrolet Impala, owned and operated by Zachary Goff of Jefferson, was southbound in the outside lane of Elm Street. Both vehicle came to the traffic light at Elm and Russell at about the same time. As the traffic light turned yellow, Finch attempted to turn westbound on Russell Street in the path of the Goff Vehicle. The units collided in the intersection. Each vehicle had extensive damage. Finch was cited for, “Fail to Yield upon Left Turn.”
8:58pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop in the 1600 Block of 220th Street. During the stop, the officer figured out the female driver had given false identity information to him, to which she ultimately admitted to doing. The officer arrested Tarrin Laurel Thomas, 38 of Adel for, “Interference with Official Acts – Simple.” Thomas was also cited for, “Operation without Registration, Driving While Suspended, and Fraudulent Use of Registration.”
