Horns were honked as vehicles from semi trucks to utility vehicles drove through downtown Guthrie Center in support of President Donald Trump Wednesday evening.
The David Young for U.S. House campaign organized the “Trump Parade and Freedom Rally,” one of many he’s hosting throughout Iowa’s Third District this week. A formation of vehicles traveled from Firefly Creek Ranch a few miles east of Guthrie Center west to Mitchell Park, where 40-50 people gathered to hear Young speak. The Republican candidate spoke for about 10 minutes, and gave these words about reelecting President Trump, “We need to make sure that we return him to the White House. We don’t have a choice folks, it’s not just because he’s the better candidate but the other side, we cannot live with that because that is not freedom what the other side wants to bring to the table.”
Only one other candidate on the November 3rd ballot attended the rally, County Auditor Dani Fink. She gave a short remark at the end encouraging everyone to vote.
