As the Friends of the Jefferson Public Library Used Book Sale rolls along, there are some specials to be aware of.
This week, all children’s books will be half price and next week, every item will be half-off the listed price. Additionally, the final day of the sale, October 31st, will be bargain day, where patrons can fill a paper grocery bag for $4.
The hours of the sale are Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-6pm, Fridays from 1-5pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm. Due to COVID-19 concerns, patrons are required to wear a mask while at the book sale and it will be limited to six people at a time. Friends memberships are also available for $5 for individuals and a family membership is $10.
Because of COVID-19, this is the only fundraiser for the Friends. The non-profit organization supplements funding for the library for various purchases, including this year buying eight new public computers and banners and supporting the summer reading programs.
