Dallas County is now under a burn ban until further notice.

On Friday, the State Fire Marshal’s Office received a request from Dallas County Emergency Management Coordinator AJ Seely to prohibit open burning in the County. The State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that open burning does present a risk to life and property. As of 9 a.m. Friday, open burning is prohibited until the dangerous conditions are reduced.

Failure to comply is a simple misdemeanor. Raccoon Valley Radio will notify everyone when the burn ban is lifted.
