The Adel City Council approved an annexation moratorium agreement with Dallas Center during their regular meeting Tuesday.

The meeting began with a public hearing on the topic. The Council then held another public hearing on the voluntary annexation of certain land. Nobody spoke during either public hearing. The related resolutions were then approved. Then Dallas County Auditor Julia Helm updated the Council on how absentee voting is going. City Administrator Anthony Brown gave the latest update on the City’s water usage. He reported the City is on pace to be able to lift the current water watch soon. The Council also approved Beggars Night for Saturday, October 31st, from 6-8 p.m.
