Governor Kim Reynolds extended the disaster proclamation for the counties affected by August 10th’s derecho storm Friday.

This extends State resources to counties affected by the storm, including Dallas, Greene, and Guthrie counties until November 8th. This also temporarily suspends regulatory provisions on weight limits and hours of service for disaster repair crews aiding with cleanup and recovery efforts.

The storm caused $15 million in damage in Dallas County alone, including $5.2 million in commercial losses, $2.6 million in residential losses, $1.5 million in government infrastructure damage, and $4-5 million estimated costs for cleanup and debris management efforts.
