The Perry Chamber of Commerce is bringing back a fall favorite next week.
The Chamber is hosting a fall Sip and Shop event, the first since the end of July. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio this also provides shoppers an opportunity to shop locally that may not be able to during regular business hours, “Really it’s just an after-hours shopping experience for people that are not able to get out during the normal business hours, or they just have a real busy schedule. This is a chance to come out after-hours and enjoy seeing what’s new. (The) season’s changing; merchandise is changing inside the stores, it’s a way to get people out; extending those hours to open that up a little bit more.”
The event will look a lot like last fall’s Sip and Shop event, where local businesses’ are open past regular hours to provide an opportunity to come out during the evening hours and shop. Several merchants will also be carrying complimentary beverages to add a unique incentive for participants. Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged. Next Friday, October 16th, the event will take place from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Perry. You can learn more about the event during Friday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Pasutti.
